GIS; a Powerful Tool used by Halifax Regional Police for Crime Prevention

04 Jul 2013 9:12 AM | Anonymous

Matt Murphy, crime analyst with the Halifax Regional Police was interviewed this morning on CBC's Information Morning. He provided an interesting introduction to how the police are using GIS to identify and appropriately patrol higher crime areas of the city. Nice follow up to Superintendent Bill Moore's presentation at Geomatics Atlantic 2012. Way to go GIS!
