Wonder what the big thing will be out of this year's event?  The Theme " Your are GIS...you create great maps" is an interesting view on GIS.   Have a peek yourselves and feel free to share your thoughts.

Looking to encourage the youth of today within the field of geomatics? Ever heard of Techsploration? I've been a role model since 2003 and have met several inspiring young women along the way. Techsploration provides young women from grades nine through twelve with opportunities to explore science, trades and technology occupations, while creating awareness about the critical role of work in their lives.

I know they need role models... check it out!!!

Interesting article posted by GoGeomatics about missed opportunities in Canadian geomatics.  Even more interesting will be what we take from these missed opportunities and how we move forward.  GANS wants to help... how?  Who writes the article on future opportunities in Canadian geomatics?

Here we go again....yet more news in the news regarding Geomatics, and little Nova Scotia.  More specifically, GANS President and COGS instructor David Maclean continues to raise our industry's profile with the public.  Yet another GANS sponsor in the news.  What a great place to practice in and be geo-evolving just a little ahead of everyone else...don't forget to add your own news stories and posts here.

Here's three links, the last is to the app itself, enjoy, and Great job David!
